The national airports have experienced a positive recovery rate of 70% compared to the same period in 2019 for passengers and 75% for airport movements, the Office said in a statement.
Between January and July, 2022, the Mohammed V airport has received 3,699,215 passengers, through 34,742 flights, posting recovery rates of 64% and 67% respectively compared to the same period in 2019.
The Kingdom’s airports received 8,703,885 passengers during the period in review, i. e. a recovery rate of 70% compared to 2019.
In July 2022, international air traffic recorded 2,142,893 passengers, representing a recovery rate of about 101%.
For July alone, Morocco’s airports have recorded a commercial traffic volume of 2,365,929 passengers and 18,912 flights, i.e a recovery of 98% for passengers and 94% for airport movements compared, according to the Office.
During the same month, air cargo posted a recovery rate of 68% compared to the same period of 2019, with 5,323 tonnes.
Between January and July 2022, cargo volume totaled 41,637 tonnes, representing a recovery rate of 74%.
