Determination, Will Characterize King and People’s Revolution Anniversary Royal Speech – Expert

Rabat – The speech addressed by His Majesty King Mohammed VI to the Nation on the occasion of the King and People’s Revolution Anniversary is a speech of “sovereignty, determination and will” and emphasizes the role of the Moroccan diaspora as a lever for nation building, said the academic and political analyst, Mohamed Bouden.

The academic told MAP that the royal speech reflects Morocco’s determination to move forward and reach unprecedented achievements for the benefit of territorial integrity, as the first priority of the nation, King and people.

He further noted that the speech of HM the King “reflects the strength of the voice of the Kingdom of Morocco in different continents, where the territorial integrity and the autonomy plan enjoy in recent years a broad international support.”

The Moroccan expert explained that “it has been concretely confirmed that the U.S. decision to recognize the Moroccan Sahara and support the autonomy plan is not affected by the succession of presidents and the exchange of positions between the Republican and Democratic parties.”

He stressed that the United States has “fundamental convictions” about the territorial integrity of the Kingdom as it is based on historical, security and economic data, adding, on the other hand, that Spain’s positive stance on the autonomy plan has opened a new chapter in its relations with Morocco.

The opening of about 30 consulates general in the Moroccan Sahara reflects a new form of practical support that highlights the security, stability and development in the southern provinces of the Kingdom, he continued.

In this regard, he noted that the positions of Germany, the Netherlands, Portugal, Serbia, Hungary, Cyprus and Romania have helped open a new page of cooperation with these countries with influence at the international and regional levels.
