Tangiers to Host 4th Ivorian Film Week in Morocco on Sept. 18-24

Rabat – The 4th Ivorian Film Week in Morocco will take place from 18 to 24 September in Tangier, the Moroccan Film Center (CCM) announced on Tuesday.

This cultural event is held as part of the consolidation of relations between Morocco and the Cote d’Ivoire, and pursuant to the provisions of the co-production and film exchange agreement signed by the CCM and the National Film Office of Côte d’Ivoire (ONACI-CI) in Abidjan on November 28, 2011, a CCM statement said.

The event is taking place on the sidelines of the 22nd National Film Festival (FNF), which will be held on September 16-24.

The Ivorian Film Week in Morocco is also part of the action led by Morocco in favor of South-South cooperation in the field of cinema and its commitment to support African cinema in general.

Morocco is signatory to 09 co-production agreements and film exchanges, and has co-produced, since 1983, more than 50 African films.

This event will feature Ivorian movies and will be attended by a delegation of film professionals including filmmakers, actors, journalists and officials representing the ONACI-CI.
