Morocco, Republic of Korea Discuss Youth, Investment

Rabat – Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication, Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid held talks, Wednesday in Rabat, with the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea in Morocco, Keeyong Chung, on skill building of Moroccan youth and investment promotion in Morocco.

The meeting was an opportunity to highlight the strong ties between the two countries and review ways to bolster bilateral cooperation in the areas of youth, culture and communication, a statement from the ministry said.

Talks also focused on the film industry, following the government’s decision to increase public support for international film productions.

The two parties stressed the importance of increasing investment to benefit both countries and strengthen economic cooperation, particularly in the cultural field.

Mr. Bensaid emphasized the need to implement the partnership between the two countries in the area of culture and to activate the partnership projects in the areas of youth through the exchange of expertise between Morocco and South Korea.

Highlighting the various projects of his department, especially in the area of video games, the minister said Morocco should exploit the expertise and opportunities available in this field.

The two parties also emphasized the need to establish a permanent mechanism to activate bilateral cooperation, capitalize on opportunities and create new investments in areas where South Korea has a global reputation.
