Government Spokesperson Calls Tunisian President’s Reception of Separatists’ Leader ‘Serious’, ‘Unjustified’ Act

Rabat – Tunisian president’s reception of the separatists’ leader is a “serious” and “unjustified” act, said the Minister Delegate in charge of Relations with Parliament, Government Spokesman Mustapha Baitas on Thursday.

“The serious and unjustified step of the Tunisian president has been condemned by the various components of Moroccan society, as it constitutes an offense to the feelings of the Moroccan people,” said Baitas during a press briefing at the end of the weekly meeting of the Government Council.

The government spokesman stressed that the reactions from the various forces representing different bangs of the Tunisian people were unanimous “to reject clearly and unequivocally this behavior.

This does not reflect the aspirations of the peoples of the two countries to consolidate the strong ties of brotherhood that unite them, and that HM King Mohammed VI has constantly called for their strengthening, he concluded.
