Welcoming Ceremony in Honor of Jewish Community from Larache

Larache – A welcoming ceremony was held Tuesday in Larache, in honor of the Jewish community from the city, at the initiative of the Moroccan Center for Tolerance and Interfaith Dialogue.

This ceremony featured a colorful musical evening in the square of the Archaeological Museum in the medina of Larache, which was enhanced by the presence of religious figures.

This event was held under the theme “The Jewish community at the service of development and national unity,” in cooperation with the Provincial Council, the Municipality of Larache and the Cultural Center. It was animated by an orchestra of Andalusian music and a group of Gnawa music.

This initiative aims to strengthen human ties, pride of affiliation to Morocco, and attachment to the homeland and national constants, in addition to serving the Kingdom’s best interests and its territorial integrity, and contributing to development.

This event took place in the presence of a delegation of the Jewish community from the province of Larache, consisting of about 60 people from France, Spain, Canada, Argentina, Sweden, Israel, Andorra, Switzerland and Mexico, as well as representatives of the Jewish community of Morocco.
