Moroccan Chairmanship of AU PSC for October Discussed at Meeting in Addis Ababa

Addis Ababa – The Moroccan chairmanship of the Peace and Security Council (PSC) of the African Union (AU) for the month of October was at the center of a meeting, Thursday in Addis Ababa, between Permanent Representative of the Kingdom to the AU and UNECA, Ambassador Mohamed Arrouchi, and AU Commissioner for Political Affairs, Peace and Security, Bankole Adeoye.

During this meeting, the exchange focused on the preparations and the program of the Moroccan chairmanship of the AU PSC for next October.

Morocco was elected member of the PSC of the AU for a second term of three years 2022-2025 after that of 2018-2020.

This election for this three-year term reflects the key and historic role of Morocco in the maintenance of peace and security in Africa and illustrates the confidence that the Kingdom enjoys within the pan-African organization.
