Morocco Managed to Strengthen Institutions, Economic Competitiveness in Africa – Argentine Politician

Buenos Aires – Under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, Morocco has been able to strengthen its institutions and consolidate its economic competitiveness on the African continent, said former Argentine parliamentarian and prominent member of the Republican Proposal party, Jorge Enríquez.

Enríquez told M24, MAP’s 24-hour-rolling news channel, said that this continental competitiveness of Morocco has enabled it to become the first investor in West Africa and the second investor on the continent.

Praising Morocco’s policy of openness to the world, the former Argentine parliamentarian said that this approach allows to diversify the opportunities for partnerships with several regional blocks.

In this same context, “Morocco has carried out important reforms while maintaining a subtle balance between the preservation of its authenticity and the need for openness to the world,” noting that these reforms have focused on constitutional and social aspects, including the Family Code, he continued.

Enríquez, also a lawyer and columnist for major Argentine newspapers such as Clarín and La Nación, added that Morocco is a strong nation that has proven itself throughout history and has overcome all the challenges it has faced since the dawn of independence.

The Argentine politician finally considered that his country and Morocco are called to strengthen their relations especially in the sectors of technological innovations, sustainable development, tourism and in the agricultural sector and fertilizers.
