The agreement was initialed by the Minister of Solidarity, Social Integration and Family, Aawatif Hayar, the head of the Directorate of the Hassan II Foundation for OSAMAC, Colonel-Major Driss Rahmouni, and the head of the DGSS of the FAR, Colonel-Major Ahmed Zejli.
The agreement aims to define a general framework of the partnership to promote the rights of people with disabilities. It is part of the implementation of the commitments of the 2021-2026 government program aimed at consolidating the pillars of the welfare state and the 2021-2026 Social Pole Strategy in the areas of family and social integration of people with disabilities.
In a statement to the press, Hayar recalled the high solicitude of HM King Mohammed VI for people with disabilities. The government has worked to establish a program targeting this category and has mobilized 500 million dirhams to promote the conditions of people with disabilities, she added.
“The signing of this agreement is a great pride for us. It is the least we can do for our valiant Royal Armed Forces who deploy considerable efforts, under the leadership of HM the King, Supreme Commander and Chief of General Staff of the FAR, for the protection of our country and the defense of its territorial integrity,” Hayar stated.
For her part, the head of the benefits section for people with disabilities of the Social Action Division of the DGSS, Lieutenant-Colonel Fatema Fouadi, said that this agreement is part of the high solicitude of HM the King, Supreme Commander and Chief of Staff General of the FAR, to people with disabilities.
Echoing her, the head of the mail and document management division of the Directorate of the Hassan II Foundation for OSAMAC, Colonel Nadia Ramdi, stressed that the signing of this agreement shows the high concern of HM the King, Supreme Commander and Chief of General Staff of the FAR and HRH Princess Lalla Meryem, chairwoman of the Hassan II Foundation for Veterans’ Social Welfare, for this social category.
