The event will be an opportunity to focus on various topics such as aviation safety, capacity and efficiency of air navigation, aviation security, economic development of air transport and environmental protection.
The Moroccan delegation will attend the executive committees of the Assembly and the Technical, Economic, Administrative and Legal Committees. It will also hold bilateral meetings with delegations from several countries to conclude agreements on air transport and strengthen cooperation ties.
The ICAO Assembly has 193 Member States and convenes every three years. It makes recommendations, reviews the work of the Organization, and guides other ICAO bodies. It also elects the Council and determines the Organization’s budget for the next three years.
For Morocco, this event is an opportunity to highlight the importance given by the Kingdom to the air transport sector as a lever for development, particularly for tourism and the aviation industry.
The Moroccan delegation will also meet ICAO senior officials and delegations from other Member States to exchange on the strategic objectives of recovery, sustainability and development of air transport.
