A statement from the Swiss Embassy in Morocco said that Ambassador Guillaume Scheurer, accompanied by the President of the Swiss Chamber of Commerce in Morocco and the commercial and scientific adviser of the Swiss Embassy in Morocco, is visiting the region to explore its potential and exchange with economic and scientific stakeholders on partnership and collaboration opportunities between the Kingdom and the Confederation.
“This mission confirms Switzerland’s ongoing interest in cooperating with Morocco and represents an opportunity to explore the dynamism of the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region,” the statement added.
The delegation will meet with senior officials of the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region, the Regional Investment Council and private sector actors to identify export, import and investment opportunities, according to the same source. A visit to the Tangier-based Swiss companies is also scheduled.
On Monday, the delegation visited Assilah to exchange with the mayor of the city and officials of the International Cultural Forum of Assilah.
