Seven Moroccan Films Take Part at Haifa 38th International Film Festival

Haifa – The Haifa 38th International Film Festival, which is held from October 8 to 17, presents a variety of the best films of modern international cinema, including seven Moroccan movies.

The organizers have opted for a varied program throughout the days of the festival for the films “The Blue Caftan” by Maryam Touzani (2022), “Queens” by Yasmine Benkiran (2022), “Aya Goes to the Beach” by Maryam Touzani, “Adam” by Maryam Touzani (2019), “Horses of God” by Nabil Ayouch (2013), “Ali Zawa” by Nabil Ayouch (2000) and “Rock the Casbah” by Laïla Marrakchi (2013).

According to the organizers, these movies will be screened in the presence of their directors, including Maryam Touzani, Leila Marrakchi, Yasmine Benkiran and Nabil Ayouch, where they will have the opportunity to exchange with the film audience present at the festival.

The festival, supervised by the artistic director Yaron Shamir, opens with one of the most attractive films of the year, namely “Don’t Worry Darling” by Olivia Wilde.

The festival will host many distinguished foreign guests, a large number of films from the Middle East, including Iran, Egypt and Tunisia, as well as numerous competitions, notably the best Israeli feature film and the best Israeli documentary, in addition to the carmel competition of international films.
