Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency Approves Granting of Scholarships to 100 Students from Al-Quds

Al-Quds – The Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency, under the Al-Quds Committee, chaired by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, on Wednesday approved the granting of scholarships ($250 each) to cover the tuition fees of 100 students pursuing their studies at the Open University of Al-Quds.

These scholarships are part of the partnership and cooperation agreement that the agency signed in Rabat last June with the National Popular Congress of Al-Quds for a budget of $65,000, of which an amount of $25,000 is dedicated to scholarships.

This agreement also provides for the organization of thematic exhibitions for an amount of 30,000 dollars and events to celebrate the New Year for a sum of 10,000 dollars for the benefit of the Islamic-Christian Forum for the Support of Al-Quds and the Holy Sites.

The Al-Quds Open University, which started its services in 1991, is one of the pioneer universities in Palestine in the field of open education for society and scientific research. The number of students enrolled in this University is about 45,000.
