CSPJ President-Delegate Discusses Moroccan Judiciary’s Independence with Guinea-Bissau Delegation

Rabat – The Moroccan experience in terms of independence of the judiciary was the subject of talks, Friday in Rabat, between the Supreme Council of the Judicial Power’s (CSPJ) President-Delegate Mohamed Abdennabaoui, with a high-level judicial delegation from the Republic of Guinea-Bissau, led by the President of the Supreme Court and Supreme Council of Justice, José Pedro Sambú.

On this occasion, Sambú told M24, MAP’s 24-hour-rolling news channel, that this visit is part of the bilateral relations “which unite our two countries, and that we seek today to develop to include the judicial field.”

The delegation was able to see the evolution that has experienced the judiciary and inquire about the Moroccan experience in terms of judicial independence, further noted the Guinea-Bissau official.

He added that both parties have examined the opportunities to strengthen the bilateral exchange, especially in terms of transfer of expertise and experience and training.

This visit is part of efforts to consolidate judicial relations between the two countries, as well as the desire to develop and strengthen judicial cooperation and exchange of experiences between the CSPJ and the Supreme Council of the Judiciary of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau.
