Public Prosecutor’s Office President Holds Talks with Guinea-Bissau Delegation

Rabat – The Attorney General of the King at the Court of Cassation, President of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, El Hassan Daki, held talks, on Friday in Rabat, with a high-level judicial delegation from the Republic of Guinea-Bissau, led by the President of the Supreme Court and Supreme Council of Justice, José Pedro Sambú.

These talks are part of the meetings of the Presidency of the Public Prosecutor’s Office with the judicial actors of friendly countries and the opening of Morocco on its international environment in the field of justice, in order to strengthen relations of cooperation, partnership and exchange of experiences in this field.

On this occasion, Daki presented a wide range of attributions of the presidency of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, its missions and its relations with the other powers as well as with the various actors in the field of justice.

In a statement to MAP, Daki stressed that this meeting was an opportunity to learn about the different orientations that characterize the judiciary in the Republic of Guinea-Bissau, as well as the specifics of the work of judges and fields of cooperation between the two parties.

He added that the discussions focused on a broad presentation of the Moroccan experience in this area.

For his part, Sambu said that this visit allowed him and the accompanying delegation to learn about the powers and duties of the Presidency of the Public Prosecutor’s Office and its relationship with the rest of the institutions of the judicial system.

Similarly, he noted that the Moroccan experience is inspiring in the field of justice reform for many countries, forming the wish to benefit from this experience through exchanges of visits, judicial coordination, and training.

The President of the Supreme Court, President of the Supreme Council of Justice of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau and the high-level delegation accompanying him are on an official visit to the Kingdom, during which they visited judicial institutions and held bilateral talks with judicial officials.
