Cycling: 10th HRH Moulay El Hassan International Challenge, 9th Green March International Challenge to Be Held on Nov. 3-11

Casablanca – As part of the festivities of the Moroccan people marking the 47th anniversary of the glorious Green March, the Royal Moroccan Cycling Federation (FRMC), organizes, under the High Patronage of HM King Mohammed VI, the tenth edition of HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan International Challenge and the ninth edition of the Green March International Challenge from November 3 to 11.

The ninth edition of the Green March International Challenge includes three races between the cities of Laayoune-Boujdour on November 3 “Grand Prix Sakia El Hamra”, Laayoune-Tarfaya on November 5 “Grand Prix Oued Eddahab” and Laayoune-Marsa in closed circuit on November 6 “Grand Prix Al Massira”.

After the ninth edition of the Green March International Challenge, the tenth edition of HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan International Challenge will take place from November 8 to 11 in the Guelmim Oued Noun region.

Three trophies in three stages will be contested during this edition: Prince’s Trophy (1st stage Guelmim -Tan Tan -125,4 kms, November 8), the Trophy of HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan Birthday (2nd stage Guelmim- Sidi Ifni -121,5 kms, November 10) and the Royal House Trophy (3rd stage Guelmim- Sidi Ifni -Tiznit- 130,5 kms, November 11).

HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan International Challenge is a showcase that promotes the country’s tourism assets and its cultural wealth, especially since it confirms once again that the Kingdom of Morocco is a true haven of peace and a land of hospitality, dialogue, tolerance and coexistence.

In addition to Morocco, which is represented by three teams (national, regional and Olympic), the 10th edition of HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan International Challenge and the 9th edition of the Green March International Challenge, will bring together national teams from the United Arab Emirates, the Sultanate of Oman, Mauritania and Cameroon, as well as continental teams from Germany, the Netherlands, Slovakia, the Arab Emirates and Morocco (Sidi Ali Unlock).

HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan had given on May 7, 2012 in Rabat the official kick-off of the third edition of this prestigious international cycling challenge bearing the name of His Royal Highness.
