WB, IMF Reports Praising Morocco’s Investment Efficiency Likely to Increase Economy’s Attractiveness – Government Spokesman

Rabat – The reports of the World Bank (WB) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) praising Morocco for the efficiency of its investments in the field of renewable energy are likely to increase the attractiveness of the national economy, said Government Spokesman Mustapha Baitas.

Answering journalists’ questions after the weekly Government Council held on Thursday, Baitas, who also serves as Minister Delegate in charge of Relations with Parliament, stressed that these reports will boost the chances of obtaining the line of credit.

Baitas noted that “two reports of the WB and the IMF have praised the resilience of the Moroccan economy and the efficiency of Morocco’s investments in the field of renewable energy.”

According to him, these reports “will have a positive impact on the rating and enhance the attractiveness of Morocco for investment and the chances of obtaining the line of credit.”

The investor countries take into account the content of these reports which are issued by global institutions enjoying great credibility, said the Minister, stressing that the Executive intends to persevere on this path which it has made “a major government policy.”
