Morocco, Norway Hold Session of Bilateral Consultations in Oslo

Rabat – A session of bilateral consultations was held on Friday in Oslo between Morocco and Norway.

This session was conducted by Redouane Adghoghi, Director of European Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates of the Kingdom of Morocco, and Vebjørn Dysvik, Director General of Regional Affairs at the Royal Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The bilateral consultations followed the meetings held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates of the Kingdom of Morocco, Nasser Bourita, and the Norwegian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Anniken Huitfeldt.

The bilateral consultations were attended by Nabila Freidji, Ambassador of His Majesty the King to Norway, and the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to Morocco, Sjur Larsen, says a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates.

It was agreed to further strengthen the bilateral relations and consultations on issues of common interest. The Norwegian side confirmed the intention of Huitfeldt to visit Morocco at the invitation of Bourita, continues the statement.

According to the same source, this ministerial visit will provide an opportunity to develop the partnership further, based on shared values and mutual respect, and serve as a basis for strengthening dialogue, political, economic and cultural relations, as well as trade and investments.

At the regional and global level, the two countries will continue, as promoters of peace and stability, their consultation on the strategic interests of each country and issues of common interest, concludes the press release.
