Bourita and the French minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs held bilateral talks on Friday in Rabat before holding a press conference.
The two countries are in unison on international issues, Colonna pointed out during the press conference, stressing that the bilateral partnership is a driving force to face the challenges related to global issues and everything related to the African continent.
The minister noted in this regard a strong convergence of views between Morocco and France on the fight against climate change, improving security in the world, energy issues, sustainable and inclusive growth, the fight against terrorism and radicalization, as well as the challenges of ecological transition.
“Morocco plays a key role in the Mediterranean and in Africa,” he said.
For his part, Bourita said his talks with his French counterpart were an opportunity to discuss several regional issues, including the Sahel and West Africa.
Recalling the common challenges in various regions of the world, the minister underlined the convergence of views and coordination on some issues related to the MENA region, as well as those concerning the African continent.
