France: Two Killed, Four Injured in Paris Shooting

Paris – A shooting which took place, Friday in the center of Paris, made two dead and four wounded, of which two in absolute emergency, according to a provisional assessment provided by the public prosecutor of the capital.

The events took place shortly before noon when a man in his sixties fired a shot in the middle of the street in the 10th arrondissement of Paris.

“A 69-year-old man was arrested and taken into custody,” the prosecutor’s office said, quoted by the media.

“An investigation has been opened for murder, voluntary manslaughter and aggravated violence,” added the magistrate.

On social networks, the prefecture of police of Paris said that an intervention was underway in the 10th district of the capital inviting people to avoid the area and let the emergency services intervene.
