Royal Navy Assists Sailboat in Difficulty off Larache with two French Nationals on Board

Rabat – A Royal Navy unit provided assistance, early Thursday morning, to a sailing boat in difficulty off Larache with two French nationals on board, a military source said.

“Following an information received from the Maritime Rescue and Coordination Center (MRCC) of Rabat, concerning a sailboat with two French people on board, in difficulty off Larache, a unit of the Royal Navy was dispatched early Thursday on the scene and proceeded to rescue the two crew members in very unfavorable weather conditions,” said the same source.

The occupants of the sailboat received first aid on board the Unit of the Royal Navy and then were brought back safely to the port of Tangier-city, added the source, noting that the operation of towing the boat is underway.
