Agreement between Gov’t, Education Unions on Unified Status for All Civil Servants in the Sector

Rabat – The government and the most representative education unions of the sector signed, Saturday in Rabat, the minutes of the agreement on unified status for all civil servants in the sector, as part of the implementation of the reform of public school roadmap 2022/2026.

Signed under the supervision of the Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch, this agreement comes to fulfill one of the main commitments of the government, which believes that the motivation of the teaching staff remains a preamble to the reform of public school in the service of the student and the Moroccan family, said a statement by the department of the head of government.

The minutes of this agreement were signed by Minister of National Education, Preschool Learning and Sports, Chakib Benmoussa, Minister Delegate to Minister of Economy and Finance, responsible for the budget, Fouzi Lekjaa, Minister Delegate to the Head of Government, responsible for the digital transition and administrative reform, Ghita Mezzour, and social partners representing the National Federation of Education (UMT), the National Union of Education (CDT), the Free Federation of Education (UGTM) and the National Union of Education (FDT).

The minutes of this agreement consists of two parts, the first concerns the issues and files that have been agreed upon, while the second includes the commitments of both parties, according to the text.
