Lower House Speaker, Yemeni Peer Discuss Ways to Strengthen Cooperation

Rabat – The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rachid Talbi Alami held, Monday in Rabat, talks with the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Yemen, Sultan Said Al-Barkani, focusing on ways to strengthen cooperation between their two legislative institutions.

On this occasion, Al-Barkani, on an official visit to Morocco at the head of a large parliamentary delegation, expressed his satisfaction with the distinguished historical relations uniting the two countries and peoples, reaffirming the firm position of his country supporting the territorial integrity of the Kingdom and its sovereignty over all its territory, the Lower House said in a statement.

During this meeting, marked by the presence of the Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen in Rabat, Ezzadin Saeed Al-Asbahi, Al-Barkani congratulated the Moroccan football team for its achievement in the World Cup 2022 in Qatar.

“The perseverance of the Moroccan team reflects the will and determination of the Moroccan people to make history, win and progress. The Atlas Lions have honored all the Arab and African peoples,” he said.

For his part, Talbi Alami highlighted the ties of brotherhood and friendship uniting Morocco and Yemen, noting the support and joint consultation between the Houses of Representatives of the two countries on the regional and international scenes.

He also commended the position of Yemen supporting the territorial integrity of the Kingdom, noting that Morocco, under the wise leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, backs the international legitimacy and sovereignty and territorial integrity of States.
