Egypt International Taekwondo Championship: 15 Medals for Morocco

Casablanca – Morocco won 15 medals, six gold, two silver and seven bronze, during the Egypt International Taekwondo Championship, held in Cairo on February 14-15.

Thanks to this achievement, the Moroccan team took the lead in the women’s ranking and the second place in men’s contest.

The precious metal was won by Nezha Assal (-49 kg), Meryem Khelal (-62 kg), Oumaima Boumeh (-73 kg), Fatima Zahra Aboufass (+73 kg), Hatim Berrahou (-54 kg), elected best taekwondo player of this edition and Wassfi Abdelbasset (-63 kg).

The silver medals were won by Safia Saleh (-67 kg) and Fayçal Saidi (-68 kg), while the bronze is the work of Salma Morino (-49 kg), Oumaima Bouchti (-53 kg), Meryem Nems (-53 kg), Sanae Baiza (-67 kg), Hajar Cherif (-73 kg), Haytham Zghouti (-74 kg) and Mohamed Farhane (-87 kg).
