The strengthening of cooperation between the Moroccan and Azerbaijani parliamentary institutions, including through parliamentary friendship groups, as well as coordination within multilateral parliamentary organizations were discussed in detail.
The exchange also focused on the excellent political relations between Morocco and Azerbaijan, which are characterized by mutual respect and support.
On the national issue, the Speaker of the Milli Majlis reiterated her country’s support for the territorial integrity of Morocco and thanked the Kingdom for its support to Azerbaijan.
During the meeting, Embarch handed over to Gafarova a letter of invitation addressed to her by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rachid Talbi El Alami, to visit Morocco.
The diplomat also congratulated the President of the Milli Majlis on the success of the 1st Conference of the NAM Parliamentary Network, which was held in Baku in June, where the Kingdom was represented by a delegation headed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Talbi El Alami.
For her part, Gafarova referred to her meeting with Talbi El Alami in November 2022 in Cambodia, on the sidelines of the 43rd General Assembly of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly.
