Covid-19: 39 New Cases, Over 6.88 Mln People Receive Three Doses of Vaccine (Weekly Bulletin)

Rabat – The Ministry of Health and Social Protection reported on Friday in its weekly bulletin a total of 39 new cases of infection with the new coronavirus (Covid-19) and zero deaths.

A total of 24,921,576 people have received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while the number of fully vaccinated people (1st and 2nd doses) has reached 23,423,121, the ministry pointed out in its weekly COVID-19 bulletin, noting that 6,881,310 people have received the third dose of the vaccine, while 60,519 people have got the fourth shot.

The weekly report brings to 1,272,526 the total number of infections since the first case was confirmed in Morocco on March 02, 2020, with a weekly positivity rate of 1.2%.

The new infections were reported in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (18), Rabat-Salé-Kenitra (15), Fez-Meknes (03), Marrakech-Safi (02) and Souss-Massa (01).

The total number of deaths remains at 16,296 (overall case fatality 1.3%), with zero cases recorded in the last week.

Active cases number 58, with zero severe or critical cases in the last week.
