Established by the government in response to the economic actors’ expectations, this roadmap is aligned with the High Royal Guidelines, the conclusions of the New Development Model, the commitments contained in the government program, as well as the white paper’s proposals of the General Confederation of Moroccan Businesses (CGEM), said Akhannouch, who spoke at the opening of the national conference on business climate, held under the theme “A New Generation of Reforms”.
Result of a close dialogue with the private sector to define its interests and strategic priorities, this roadmap, approved by the National Committee of the business environment (CNEA), is a turning point in the management of the work of this committee since its inception in 2010, said the Head of Government.
It is based, he said, on a pioneering approach and multi-year programming, and is based on three main pillars, broken down into 13 structural projects, in addition to a fourth cross-cutting pillar.
Thus, the first pillar aims to improve the structural conditions of the business environment, said Akhannouch, noting that this is a common priority targeting the entire economic fabric, regardless of the company’s size.
The second pillar aims to create conditions conducive to the development of industrial enterprises, able to back the productive sovereignty and support the national economy’s structural transformation, added the Head of Government, noting that the third pillar aims to “promote a strong entrepreneurial culture to create an innovative approach to investment in our country.”
Regarding the cross-cutting pillar, Akhannouch said that given the strong interdependence between improving the business environment and the rules of ethics and integrity, the dimension “ethics, integrity and the fight against corruption” has been retained as a cross-cutting pillar, in support of the first three.
In addition, the Head of Government said that the implementation of the roadmap and measures taken by the government in this area, is likely to contribute to strengthening investment and improving the attractiveness of Morocco’s business environment.
