First Edition of National Industry Day Kicks Off in Casablanca

Casablanca – The 1st edition of the National Industry Day, held under the High Patronage of HM King Mohammed VI, kicked off Wednesday in Casablanca, at the initiative of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM).

The opening session of this day was marked by a Royal message, which was read by Minister of Industry and Trade, Ryad Mezzour.

This event, which brings together ministries, institutional stakeholders, professional federations and private operators, will serve as a platform for exchange on the strategic issues of development of the sector and the priorities of the new industrial strategy.

The National Industry Day, whose next editions will be declined in regions in order to highlight the local industrial potential and to deal with the specific associated stakes, will be registered in the global calendar of the economic events, as an annual reference get-together of the Industry in Morocco.

This first edition will meet several goals, including confirming the industry’s position, as a national priority to make it an axial lever for the development of Morocco, and promote productive investment in industry nationally and regions, make it more attractive and enhance it.

The opening of this day took place in the presence of the Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch, the Minister of Economy and Finance Nadia Fettah, the Minister of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development Leila Benali, the Minister Delegate in charge of Investment, Convergence and Evaluation of Public Policies, Mohcine Jazouli and the Minister of Transport and Logistics Mohammed Abdeljalil.
