Morocco, Qatar Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Relations in Social Integration

Rabat – Morocco’s Minister of Solidarity, Social Integration and Family Aawatif Hayar held, on Monday in Rabat, talks with Qatar’s Minister of Social Development and Family, Mariam Bint Ali Bin Nasser Al Misnad, on strengthening bilateral relations.

On this occasion, Hayar highlighted the strong relations between the two countries, stressing that the Kingdom of Morocco has made, under the wise leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, a major progress in establishing a society based on the protection and promotion of human rights.

In this context, she explained that the 2021-2026 governmental program is committed to increasing women’s activity rate to 30% by 2026 instead of 20% currently. Similarly, the institutional framework for equality has been strengthened through the establishment of the National Committee for Gender Equality and Women’s Advancement, she added, recalling the strategy “Jisr” 2022-2026 towards a comprehensive, innovative and sustainable social development and the preparation of the third government plan for equality 2022-2026.

For her part, Mariam Bint Ali Bin Nasser Al Misnad, who reaffirmed the historical scope of relations between Qatar and Morocco, presented a wide range of areas of partnership related to women, children, people with disabilities and the family, reviewing the actions of some centers that provide social services.

She also highlighted many programs and projects related to this area, stressing in this regard the importance of the productive family and national and local products to strengthen the economic empowerment of women.

This meeting was also an opportunity to review and share the various social experiences offered to citizens of both countries in the social field.
