This recognition is a “victory” for Moroccan diplomacy, under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the Chioukhs of the Saharawi tribes in the Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra region said in a statement on Saturday.
They also praised Israel’s recognition of the Moroccanness of the Sahara and the Kingdom of Morocco’s full sovereignty over its entire national territory, as well as the forthcoming opening of an Israeli consulate in Dakhla.
The Israeli recognition is a “decisive and strong” decision that reinforces Morocco’s international legitimacy and historical rights over its southern provinces, as well as the autonomy plan for the Sahara under Moroccan sovereignty, they stressed.
The Chioukhs of the Saharawi tribes in the Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra region also noted that this recognition would have a vital political impact, bolstering the positive international momentum in favor of the justness of our national cause.
In addition, they underlined that this decision is likely to further strengthen the mechanisms of negotiation to find a just solution between the State of Israel and the Palestinians, reiterating on this occasion their unwavering attachment to the Glorious Alawite Throne and their constant mobilization in defense of the Kingdom’s territorial integrity.
