Maroc Telecom Achieves Consolidated Turnover of Almost MAD 18.4 Bln in H1-2023

Rabat – Maroc Telecom Group achieved consolidated sales of nearly 18.4 billion dirhams at the end of June 2023, up 4.7% (+2.2% at constant exchange rates).

This growth was driven by the combined effect of an 8.5% increase in international business (+3.3% at constant exchange rates) and a 1.2% rise in business in Morocco, explains the Group in a statement on its half-year results.

In detail, sales in Morocco were up 1.2% on the same period of 2022, at MAD 9.68 billion. Fixed-line data revenues continued to benefit from the FTTH craze, offsetting the decline in mobile and ADSL services.

Internationally, the Group’s activities improved by 8.5% over the first six months of the year to MAD 9.28 billion (+3.3% at constant exchange rates), driven by the good performance of Mobile Data by 28.3% (+22.1% at constant exchange rates) and Mobile Money by 11.8% (+7.1% at constant exchange rates).
