Throne Day: A Speech of Values, Driss El Yazami Says

Rabat – The Speech delivered by HM King Mohammed VI on the occasion of the Throne Day is fundamentally “a speech of values” marked by the seal of seriousness, stressed the President of the Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad, Driss El Yazami.

“It is fundamentally a Speech of values, which essentially advocates the spirit of seriousness recognized by Moroccans,” El Yazami told MAP.

Commending the Moroccan genius, HM the King recalled these essential values which, based also on tolerance, openness, responsibility and accountability, will enable us to face a troubled world, in perpetual mutation and marked by multiple dynamics, he said.

This spirit of seriousness, which the Sovereign has specifically insisted on, has already enabled the Kingdom to rise to a number of challenges in various fields, stressed El Yazami, adding that this same seriousness must be the guiding principle for everyone.

He cited the example of the national team’s achievement at the Qatar 2022 World Cup, and the plan to co-host the 2030 World Cup with Spain and Portugal.

El Yazami also highlighted another essential element of the Royal Speech: the reminder of Morocco’s stance towards neighboring countries, which is constantly based on openness, fraternity and cooperation.
