Royal Speech Displays Morocco’s Commitment to Normal, Friendly Relations with All Countries in the Region (U.S Think Tank)

Washington – HM King Mohammed VI’s Speech to the Nation on the occasion of the 24th anniversary of the accession of the Sovereign to the Throne of His glorious ancestors displays Morocco’s commitment to having normal and friendly relations with all countries in the Region, underlined Paolo Von Schirach, President of Washington DC-based think tank, “Global Policy Institute” (GPI).

HM the King clearly expressed the desire to normalize relations with Algeria, the expert told MAP, noting that this attitude is “positive and productive” towards a neighboring country towards whom Morocco harbors no bad intentions.

Regarding the growing international support for the Moroccanness of the Sahara, the Professor of political science and international relations noted that this virtuous dynamic reflects the effectiveness of the Moroccan strategy based on a proactive diplomacy which bears fruit under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.

He noted that several countries have decided to open consulates general in the Southern Provinces of the Kingdom, adding that the State of Israel is the latest country to date which has recognized the legitimate rights and sovereignty of Morocco on its Sahara. “This means that the quiet diplomacy adopted by Morocco is bearing fruit,” he said.
