Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency Pens Cooperation Agreement with Governorate of Holy City

Al-Quds – Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency and Al-Quds Governorate signed on Wednesday a cooperation agreement to support and empower Al-Quds families through small-scale productive projects.

The agreement, which was initialed by the Agency’s Coordinator of Programs and Projects in Al-Quds, Ismail Ramli, and the Vice Governor of Al-Quds, Abdellah Sayyam, aims to support and empower families in the holy city within the framework of supporting small-scale productive projects and empowering women in the governorate, especially in the suburbs, who live in difficult economic conditions.

The agreement is part of the ongoing work of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency under the personal supervision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI. The cost of the first phase of support projects amounts to $60,000.

In a speech on the occasion, Mohamed Salem Cherkaoui, the Agency’s Director in charge of management, affirmed that the Agency is fulfilling its obligations in accordance with the high directives of HM King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, through diversifying human development projects and supporting Al-Quds families in all regions of the city, in coordination and partnership with the relevant Palestinian institutions, headed by the Al-Quds Governorate.

He stressed that the work carried out by the Al-Quds Governorate in serving the city’s residents, sometimes under difficult conditions, deserves the support of all supporting institutions, based on a model that takes into account the real needs of the needy categories.

Cherkaoui pointed to successful models of partnership and cooperation between the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency and Palestinian institutions in Al-Quds, which deserve attention due to the willingness of these institutions to comply with the conditions and standards of contracting approved by the Agency, which take into account the peculiarities of the city and the working conditions.

For his part, the Vice Governor of Al-Quds praised the Agency’s efforts to serve the city’s institutions in accordance with the directives of HM King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee.

In this regard, he appreciated the Agency’s working method, which meets the needs of the Maqdessis and works to strengthen their resilience in the city, noting that this agreement paves the way for a number of next steps within the framework of a permanent and continuous cooperation with the Agency.
