Royal Navy Rescues 67 Would-Be Irregular Migrants – Military Source

Rabat – A Royal Navy unit intercepted Thursday an inflatable boat in difficulty, carrying 67 candidates for irregular migration, including a woman and three minors, around 100 km off Tarfaya, as part of a sea rescue and assistance mission, a military source said.

The people rescued, all of whom come from sub-Saharan Africa, received first aid once they had been taken on board the Royal Navy unit, before being transported on Friday to the port of Laayoune, where they were handed over to the Royal Gendarmerie for the usual administrative procedures, the source added.
