Juba: Amb. Abderrazzak Laassel Hands over Credentials to South Sudanese President

Juba – Morocco’s ambassador to Kenya and South Sudan Abderrazzak Laassel handed, on Wednesday in Juba, over his credentials to South Sudanese President Salva Kiir.

On this occasion, the South Sudanese President welcomed the excellent cooperation between the two countries, recalling the visit of His Majesty King Mohammed VI to South Sudan on February 1 and 2, 2017, during which the two Heads of State had identified a number of areas that could give the hoped-for impetus to the development of relations between Morocco and South Sudan.

In this regard, Salva Kiir expressed his wish to see further strengthening of cooperative relations between Juba and Rabat.

Abderrazzak Laassel, whom His Majesty King Mohammed VI appointed Ambassador to the Republic of Kenya and the Republic of South Sudan on December 14, is a career diplomat with several years’ experience at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates.
