This initiative, held in Perpignan, more than 200 km from Montpellier, aligns with the proximity approach advocated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, following the High Royal Orientations, as stated in a press release by the consulate.
The mobile consulate aimed to deliver various administrative services, taking place a few weeks after the launch of the 2023 Marhaba operation and ahead of the Eid Al Adha holiday.
This outreach initiative received appreciation from members of the Moroccan community and facilitated services for the expatriates in their places of residence, including the elderly and those with reduced mobility. It also provided an opportunity for interactions between the consulate, the Moroccan community, and local associations in Perpignan and its surrounding areas, fostering engagement and dialogue.
This event marks the second action of its kind, following the “open doors” operation conducted at the start of Marhaba Operation. It reflects the commitment of the Moroccan Consulate General in Montpellier to actively engage with Moroccan residents in this region during the summer period, concluded the press release.
