A goal scored by Younes Taha (7th) gave the Atlas Cubs their third win in as many games, and put them top of their group (A).
With this success, the Moroccan team now have a total of 9 points after their victories in the first two matches against Guinea (2-1) and Ghana (5-1).
In next Tuesday’s semi-final, Morocco will meet the runner-up of Group B, which includes Egypt, Mali, Niger and Gabon.
