Rome – Morocco and Italy are determined to work together for a more stable Mediterranean region, said Antonio Tajani, vice-president of the Italian Council of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs, in Rome on Wednesday.

“The Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Italy, linked by good relations, wish to strengthen their cooperation for a more stable Mediterranean,” the head of Italian diplomacy told the press after his meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita.

Referring to the action plan for the implementation of the multidimensional strategic partnership signed today, Tajani stressed that this action plan should strengthen bilateral cooperation in a number of priority areas.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates paid a working visit to Italy on Wednesday, July 5, at the invitation of his Italian counterpart.

This is Bourita’s first visit to Italy since the appointment of Tajani as Vice-President of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Italian Republic in October 2022.
