In a joint statement issued at the end of the 3rd session of the Moroccan-Angolan Joint Cooperation Commission, co-chaired by Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, and Minister of External Relations of the Republic of Angola, Téte Antonio, the Angolan FM also lauded Morocco’s vision of an emerging, stable and prosperous Africa.
For his part, Bourita hailed the major role played by His Excellency the Angolan President, João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço, in his capacity as the African Union’s designated champion of peace and reconciliation in Africa.
On this occasion, the two ministers had an in-depth exchange of views on regional and international issues of common interest, and also expressed the shared desire of both countries to contribute to the development of the African continent while preserving peace and security.
Both ministers, who held fruitful talks, praised the excellent ties of friendship and solidarity between the two countries.
In this respect, they hailed the quality of the feelings of esteem and respect which characterize the relations between their Heads of State, His Majesty King Mohammed VI and His Excellency João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço, President of the Republic of Angola, the statement emphasized.
