Moroccan Sahara: Israel’s Decision is Recognition of HM the King’s Role in Consolidating Peace in Middle East (Israeli Diplomat)

Tel Aviv – The State of Israel’s decision to recognize Morocco’s sovereignty over its Sahara is also a recognition of the role of His Majesty King Mohammed VI in consolidating the Middle East peace process, said Yehuda Lancry, former Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Israel to the United Nations.

This is a good decision which constitutes an important development in relations between the two countries, the Israeli diplomat stressed in a statement to MAP, noting that this expected decision is in line with the development of ties between the two States.

On a bilateral level, this recognition will strengthen relations between the two countries in the various political, economic, commercial and cultural fields, he added.

He expressed his conviction that HM the King is determined to establish the peace that is capable of changing history in the region, contributing to appeasement and establishing a framework for living together in peace and stability.
