The suspects, aged 31 and 43, were arrested during a police operation in the rural area of Ksar Harte, some 7 km from the town of Goulmima, as soon as they arrived on the scene in a light vehicle, according to a security source, adding that the searches carried out led to the seizure of 500 kg of Chira in 20 packets intended for international trafficking.
The two suspects were placed in police custody for further investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office, in order to identify the potential ramifications of this criminal activity and pinpoint the accomplices, added the same source.
