In a press release, the party reiterated its “high esteem for the finesse and wisdom shown by His Majesty King Mohammed VI in managing the country’s diplomatic affairs and international relations, enabling significant and unprecedented advances to be made for the Kingdom’s territorial integrity and sovereignty over its entire territory.”
The PAM hails this decision as “the crowning achievement of a solid track record in strengthening Morocco’s international relations, supporting the historic trilateral agreement previously signed between Morocco, the United States and Israel, which clarifies their positions on the Moroccan Sahara issue and seeks to establish security and peace in the Middle East,” the same source stresses.
“This historic decision by an allied state will not be to the detriment of any other cause, nor at the expense of Morocco’s constant positions, under the leadership of HM the King, who considers the Palestinian cause to be on the same level as the question of the Moroccan Sahara,” the PAM affirmed, noting that Morocco’s commitment to the affirmation of the Sahara’s Moroccanness will not be made now or in the future at the expense of the Palestinian people’s struggle for their legitimate rights.
The PAM, adds the statement, “renews its appeal to the international community to base itself on the principles of legitimacy, support the historical facts of our country, break with the ambiguity of positions and align itself with true historical positions, while ceasing to support the mafias that profit from the suffering of our Sahrawi brothers, and work openly to support the autonomy initiative under Moroccan sovereignty as a realistic, credible and lasting solution to this artificial conflict.”
The Party also reaffirmed its high esteem for the important roles played by the Kingdom, under HM the King’s leadership, in the Middle East, whether as Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee or as a political leader whose rational and balanced positions in crises and wars reflect Morocco’s historical depth.
The PAM also underlined Morocco’s constant support for the rights of the Palestinian people, considering that the lasting solution to the conflict lies in the establishment of an independent Palestinian state living side by side with the State of Israel.
