17th Mohammed VI International Prize for Memorizing and Reciting the Holy Quran to be Held on Sept. 12-13

Rabat – The 17th edition of the Mohammed VI International Prize for memorizing and reciting the Holy Koran will be held on September 12 and 13, announced the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs.

The competition, held to mark the commemoration of Eid Al Mawlid Al-Nabawi 1445 AH, is part of the Ministry’s ongoing interest in the Holy Quran, in terms of memorization and recitation, a Ministry statement said on Thursday.

In addition to the Moroccan contenders, the contest will bring together candidates from Arab, Muslim, African, European and Asian countries.

The opening ceremony of the competition will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, from 10:30 am, at the Koranic school of the Hassan II mosque in Casablanca, according to the same source.
