Mexico City – Israel’s recognition of Morocco’s sovereignty over its Sahara constitutes a “turning point” in strengthening the Kingdom’s efforts for regional security and stability, according to the Mexican news website “La Voz del Arabe”.

The article, titled “Israel’s recognition of the Moroccan sovereignty of the Sahara,” highlights this decision as another testament to the effectiveness of Morocco’s diplomatic strategy, led by His Majesty King Mohammed VI.

According to Andrés Ordonez, the author of the article, Israel’s recognition bolsters peace efforts in the region and also acknowledges the significance of Africa with its economic and demographic influence, in addition to the Middle East’s importance for global stability.

As an expert in international relations, Ordonez highlights Morocco’s ongoing efforts to fortify its strategic position in diverse domains, positioning itself as a dependable and essential partner for Africa and Europe’s security, in a world grappling with conflicts.

The author adds that the latest developments position Morocco as a leading player on the geopolitical scene and a committed partner on the main issues on the international multilateral agenda.

A communiqué from the Royal Office had announced last week, that His Majesty King Mohammed VI had received a letter from the Prime Minister of the State of Israel, Benyamin Netanyahu, in which he brought to the Sovereign’s Very High Attention his country’s decision to recognize Morocco’s sovereignty over its Sahara.
