Third Marrakech Short Film Festival to Be Held on Sept. 22-29

Marrakech – The 3rd edition of the Marrakech Short Film Festival (MARRAKECHsFF) will take place from September 22 to 29, with Poland as guest of honor.

“MARRAKECHsFF” is meant to showcase Moroccan short-film talent with an international selection in iconic Marrakech open-air locations, says a statement by the organizers.

This event continues its commitment to building bridges between the short film industry and the city of Marrakech, while showcasing Moroccan and international talent through an exciting competition program, add the organizers.

Poland participates as guest of honor, with a line-up of films selected by the prestigious Munk studio, which has been operating within the structures of the Polish Filmmakers Association since 2008, and was created to focus exclusively on the production of directorial debuts.

The Polish selection for this year’s festival features over 10 films, including “The Dress” by Oscar-nominated director Tadeusz Lysiak.

The festival also includes an international selection of films from the USA, Cyprus, Greece, Palestine, Côte d’Ivoire, Iran, Iraq, Egypt, the Netherlands and Saudi Arabia.
