Bahrain Condemns Attack on FAR Contingent Deployed in DRC

‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌​ ​ ‌​ ​ Manama – The Kingdom of Bahrain has condemned the terrorist attack that targeted the contingent of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR), deployed within the framework of the United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo (MONUSCO), and which left one dead and 20 wounded.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain presented, Wednesday in a statement, “its sincere condolences and sympathy to the Moroccan government, the Moroccan people and the families of the victims,” wishing a speedy recovery to the injured.

The statement stressed the solidarity of the Kingdom of Bahrain with the brotherly Kingdom of Morocco, as well as its consideration of the important role undertaken by FAR within the framework of MONUSCO in maintaining security, facilitating peace and providing humanitarian aid, stressing the need to intensify international efforts to eradicate terrorism in all its forms, as well as whoever supports or finances it.
