Wildfire Breaks Out in Beni Mellal Province, Devastates 25 Hectares

‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ Adouz (Beni Mellal) – A wildfire broke out on Sunday afternoon in the forest of Mount Tamssit, located in the town of Foum Anceur (Beni Mellal province), devastating nearly 25 hectares without causing casualties, local authorities said.

The fire was completely contained thanks to efforts from the Moroccan Civil Protection and the Royal Gendarmerie, who suggested the extreme heatwave to likely be behind the tragedy.

An investigation has been opened under the supervision of the competent prosecutor to determine the exact causes of this blaze.
