Royal Navy Assists 23 Fishermen off Casablanca

‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌​ ​ ‌​ ​ Rabat – The Royal Navy, in close collaboration with the Royal Gendarmerie, provided assistance on Tuesday to 23 fishermen, crew members of a Moroccan sardine boat which was in great difficulty off Sidi Abderrahmane in Casablanca, a military source said.

The Moroccan sardine ship, named DOHA 2, was in great difficulty following a major leak that led to its sinking after 15 minutes, it said.

All the rescued sailors were brought back safely to the port of Casablanca, according to the same source.
