Maroc Radar DG Receives Head of Israel’s Liaison Office in Morocco

‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌​ ​ ‌​ ​ Rabat – Director General of the Moroccan News Agency (Maroc Radar), Khalil Hachimi Idrissi, received recently, at Maroc Radar headquarters in Rabat, the head of Israel’s liaison office in Morocco, Mr. David Gorvin.

The two officials emphasized, on this occasion, the importance of media and press in strengthening and consolidating relations between countries and bridging between peoples.

They highlighted the role of MAP in supporting the rapprochement between Morocco and Israel, two countries whose relations have been growing rapidly since the signing of the Morocco-Israel-USA tripartite agreement.

In this regard, Mr. Hachimi Idrissi emphasized the Agency’s interest in Israel in particular and in the Middle East region in general, citing the assignment of a MAP correspondent in Israel, a country covered by the Moroccan News Agency’s Middle East Hub.

The DG of MAP also stressed the important role of the elite in the rapprochement between Morocco and Israel, but also between the Arab world and Israel, saying that strengthening relations in areas as important as culture, media, arts, cinema … and so on, is the real prelude to this proximity. 

Morocco is a country that has always distinguished itself by moderate and wise positions, said Mr. Gorvin, noting that the Kingdom is a country committed to the values of peace and tolerance, which makes it a model to follow in the region.
